Project Overview
As part of South Washington County Schools 10 year network and infrastructure plan, we are submitting a request for proposal (RFP) via the FCC (USAC) eRate program in December of 2022.
This project will replace all data network equipment, including core and closet network switches at our elementary schools except for NFSI as well as Pathways and NextStep transitional program centers. The equipment being replaced were installed in 2013 and 2014 and is used for transmitting information on data and video networks.

Scheduled Walkthrough
SoWashCo will host a walkthrough of several buildings within the scope of the project.

Update: We are re-running the Request for Proposals for the Woodbury High School Cabling project. The original posting ran from 12/16/2022 to 1/20/2023. No bids were selected. Please review the new proposal details below.
As part of South Washington County Schools 10 year network and infrastructure plan, we are submitting a request for proposal (RFP) via the FCC (USAC) eRate program in December of 2022.
This project will replace all data network equipment, including core and closet network switches at Woodbury High School.
Equipment/services requested:
Cabling:
Total cable runs by count 185 totaling an estimated 27,100 linear feet. Please provide pricing for Cat6a. All cable runs should be terminated and tested at both ends. Cable lengths indicated are routed through the corridor with 20 of vertical cable for upper level and 10 of vertical cable
for lower level. Linear feet of cabling are roughly split evenly amongst the lower level and upper level.

Questions & Answers
- The RFP document asks for CAT6A "Shielded" cabling. Is this a requirement?
- In a conversation you expressed interest in Commscope Systimax material but it is not mentioned in the ERATE document. Is Commscope Systimax a requirement?
- Does Woodbury High School have any Cat6A currently installed?
- What is the drop count that will be updated and patch panel port count/size required at each IDF (if requiring an upgrade for 6A)?
- Would there be any day-of-week or time-of-day expectations or limitations on completing the work?
- Would all buildings be done on consecutive days, or would there potentially be 1+ day gaps between sites being accessible for work completion due to any construction or other factors?
- Can we use the alternate products for the Woodbury High School Structured Cabling Bid?
