SEC logoWoodbury High School will host more than 1,000 students for the Suburban East Conference (SEC) Music Festival on Monday, Feb. 3, 2020. The festival will include performances by bands, choirs and orchestras from conference schools, including East Ridge, Park and Woodbury high schools, throughout the day leading up to a Grand Finale Concert in the evening.

During the day, student musicians will be using classrooms as practice and rehearsal space when they are not performing. After student groups conclude their performance, they will be able to work with clinicians or listen to performing ensembles and complete critique sheets on the performances.

Due to the large number of visiting students who will be at the high school during the day, the District 833 School Board approved Monday, Feb. 3, 2020 as a no school day for Woodbury High School students at its September 12 meeting. Woodbury High School staff will be assigned positions during the school day to accommodate visiting students.

In the evening, the community is invited to attend a Grand Finale Concert comprised of the SEC All-Conference Orchestra, Band and Choir. The final song of the finale concert will feature all three performing ensembles.

The SEC Music Festival is an annual event that has been hosted by conference schools every year since 2001. The host school is determined by a rotating schedule.
