Virtual Learning Academy and School Meal Registration

As a reminder, please complete this short registration form for fall 2020 by 11:59 p.m., on Thursday Aug. 6. In the registration, you will be asked about school meals on distance learning days, and if you want your child to be registered and enrolled in our K-12 Virtual Learning Academy.

The K-12 Virtual Learning Academy is for any family, but is primarily for those who:

  •  Have medical concerns for their child
  • Have medical concerns for someone in their household

What happens if I select the K-12 Virtual Learning Academy?
Your child will be engaged in distance learning throughout Trimester 1, even if the district shifts to another learning model due to COVID-19 infection rates. Your child will be enrolled in their assigned school, but may be taught by teachers from across the district. Learn More.

What happens if I do not select the K-12 Virtual Learning Academy?

Your child will continue with their enrollment at their assigned school in one of the learning models that is selected by South Washington County Schools. Learn More.

  • In-Person Learning: All students will learn at school with social distancing in place as much as possible
  • Hybrid Learning: Students will learn through a combination of distance learning at home and in-person learning at school
  • Distance Learning: Students will learn at home through distance learning with instruction that is consistent with learning prior to COVID-19

Please note: Schedules in all learning scenarios are still being created and will be shared by Aug. 14.
