Hosting an exchange student gives you the opportunity to learn new customs and perspectives, allows you to share American culture, and build connections that cross borders and often last a lifetime.
Hosts come in all shapes and sizes; you can live in a rural farming community or an urban high rise; you can have children or not; you can be actively working or retired and looking to infuse your life with the energy of a teenager. Hosts are volunteers and receive no compensation. If you have an interest in sharing your culture and learning something new, you can be a host!
