District “taking the next steps” following 2015 Bond Referendum
District 833 is entering the final stage of improvements to schools across the district, thanks to community support of Bond Referendums in 2015 and 2013. Construction is complete on the new Oltman Middle School and Woodbury Middle School expansion. Work is also complete on the improvements at Cottage Grove and Lake middle schools and the first phase of Nuevas Fronteras Spanish Immersion Elementary School.

Fall 2015
- Levy and bond referendum approved
Winter 2016
- North elementary attendance boundaries redrawn
- Purchase land for new Oltman Middle School
- Form middle school planning team
Spring 2016
- Design the new Oltman Middle School & all other middle school additions and improvements
Summer 2016
- District takes ownership of Valley Crossing
- Security upgrades to three more elementary schools

- Design work begins for Nuevas Fronteras building remodel
- Redraw south elementary attendance boundaries
Spring 2017
- Construction begins on improvements/additions at Cottage Grove Middle School, Lake Middle School and Woodbury Middle School

Summer 2017
- Ongoing construction of all middle school projects
