Elementary Plan

Expansion for Balanced Growth

This plan expands all current high schools for a balanced approach to student growth. Additional construction and renovations will take place at the district’s alternative high school, district service sites and all middle schools.

The plans listed here are simply a snapshot in time during our facility planning process. All costs and projects are subject to change.

High School

Projects

East Ridge High School

  • Construction of six new classrooms
  • Construction of an arts and science wing (includes 20 new classrooms)
  • Expansion of the cafeteria and kitchen
  • Auditorium upgrades for audio/video and lighting
  • Construction of additional spaces for Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM)
  • Renovation of the media center
  • Addition of a multipurpose space for online learning
  • Construction of additional parking (includes approximately 150 new spaces)
  • Artificial turf for the multipurpose field

Park High School

  • Construction of a new cafeteria and kitchen
  • Renovation of existing spaces and addition of three Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) spaces
  • Addition of 11 new general education classrooms
  • Construction of a secure entryway and front office
  • Construction of new locker rooms
  • Renovation of girls locker room into the new band room
  • Remodel to create a student services area (counseling, health, special education)
  • Renovation of the courtyard into an online learning space
  • Remodel of the auditorium and music wing (including audio/visual and lighting)
  • Remodel of the media center and computer labs
  • Construction of additional parking (includes approximately 90 new spaces)
  • Air conditioning for the fieldhouse
  • New baseball dugouts
  • Replace athletic fencing and stadium lighting
  • Artificial turf for the multipurpose field

Woodbury High School

  • Construction of 16 new general education classrooms
  • Renovation of the kitchen space into three additional science classrooms
  • Construction of a new cafeteria and kitchen
  • Construction of a new building wing for art, Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM)
  • Construction of a secure entryway and front office
  • Renovation of the cafeteria into an online learning space
  • Auditorium upgrades for audio/video and lighting
  • Renovation and expansion of the media center
  • Remodel of the special education and student services center
  • Replacement of all flooring
  • Construction and redesign for additional parking (includes approximately 200 new spaces)
  • Air conditioning for the fieldhouse
  • Artificial turf for the multipurpose field
  • Reconstruction of stadium press box and stadium lighting
  • Replacement of athletics fencing

South Washington Alternative High School

  • Renovation of existing district building into new alternative high school site
  • Renovation of Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) spaces

  • Renovation of the special education and student services area
  • Expansion of the cafetorium

Oltman Middle School

  • Construction of a 300 seat addition
