EAI Advisory Committee

Purpose:
The Educational Achievement and Integration Advisory Committee advise the district on matters related to the educational achievement and integration plan, specific goals leading to opportunity gap reduction while promoting equity and school environments that create the conditions for student success. They provide oversight regarding the state’s Achievement and Integration program and corresponding revenue.


Composition of the Committee:
Parents/guardians of district students of color, the School Board, and district administrators. 

Meeting attendance is important and members should notify the Educational Achievement and Integration Coordinator– Trina Patterson– if unable to attend.


Committee Responsibilities: 
Provide input and feedback to the district and the school board on issues that are relevant to the educational achievement of all students, with a focus on underserved, under-represented, and under-resources student populations.  Work collaboratively with the Coordinator to establish Achievement and Integration goals as mandated by Minnesota Department of Education to help close the opportunity gap.

Meeting Dates: 
Meetings are held three times during the school year at the District Service Center (7362 East Point Douglas Rd. S. in Cottage Grove)
