Voters in the South Washington County Schools (SoWashCo Schools) district approved both Bond Question 1 and Bond Question 2 requests. Voters also approved SoWashCo Schools’ request to revoke and replace the Technology Projects Levy.
SoWashCo Schools will begin design work for buildings in two phases with the goal of completing all projects within the next three years.
During 2024, architects will continue to meet with groups of staff and families to gather input, feedback and start the design work for additions and renovations at Cottage Grove, Lake, Oltman and Woodbury middle schools, as well as East Ridge, Park and Woodbury high schools.
After the design phase is completed for each project, construction permits for the work will be secured and the request for proposals (RFP) bidding process for the construction will begin. The start and end of the construction schedule are also determined by frost.
SoWashCo Schools hopes to have the first construction projects completed by Fall 2026 and all the construction projects done by Fall 2027.

Community Design Feedback
After initial designs are created, SoWashCo Schools will host community meetings. These meetings will be an opportunity for community members to review plans and share feedback on the data and decisions to help refine the plan before a final recommendation is sent to the Superintendent for board approval.
We will post the meeting details here as soon as the events are scheduled.
