Fall 2020 High School Testing Information

Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2020

Grade 12 (Seniors)

ACT Plus Writing 

  • Paper test is taken at school
  • All seniors automatically registered
  • The test is free of charge for students
  • Students must complete required non-test portions prior to testing in order to participate
  • Scores will be available on student's ACT online accounts 3-8 weeks after exam

 

Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2020

Grade 11 (Juniors)

Grade 10 (Sophomores)

Practice ACT

  • The test is taken online, at home
  • All juniors are automatically registered
  • The test is taken in preparation for ACT in the spring
  • The test is free of charge for students
  • Scores will be given immediately after completing the test

PreACT

  • Paper test is taken at school
  • All sophomores are automatically registered
  • The test is taken in preparation for ACT taken in spring of junior year
  • The test is free of charge for students
  • Scores will be available on student's ACT online accounts 3-8 weeks after exam

PSAT

  • Paper test taken at school
  • Available to sophomores and juniors
  • The test costs $23 and space is limited
  • Students must register through SoWashCo's fee payment system
  • deadline to register is Oct. 2
  • PSAT must be taken to qualify for National Merit Scholarship

NOTE: The PreACT, Practice ACT, ACT and PSAT are all optional. For in-building tests, social distancing and hygiene protocols (including masks) must be followed.

South Washington County Schools (SoWashCo) is committed to providing a safe and healthy place for all our students and staff during the administration of tests and assessments.

The following guidelines are meant to help reduce the chance of transmission of COVID-19 in our schools and communities. SoWashCo follows the guidance developed by the Minnesota Department of Health and Minnesota’s relevant and current executive orders.
