The East Ridge High School ERRORs Robotics Team earned the second-place finish at the Minnesota State High School League Championship on Saturday, May 19.

The team played nine qualifying matches, winning the first five before disaster struck in the sixth match with a loss pushing the team from first to seventh place. The team came back to win the final two rounds of qualifiers, going into the semi-finals in sixth place.

The ERRORs played against the robotics team from Woodbury’s Math and Science Academy, which they share a workspace with, in the semi-finals. The ERRORs advanced to finals after their alliance won two of three semi-final games.

In the finals, the alliance was up against the top competitors in the state and lost the first two matches, leading them to a second place finish.

“This amazing group of students has worked hard all year, and learned so much about engineering, business plans, award writing, teamwork, organization, perseverance and how to win and lose with graciousness,” said ERRORs Sponsorship Mentor, Jennifer Sawyer.

Congratulations to the ERRORs on their outstanding accomplishment!
