Ten students selected to participate in national choir

District 833 is pleased to announce that 10 high school students have been selected to participate in a performance with the American Choral Directors Association of Minnesota in February. The students selected were Park High School freshman Olivia Bedard, and East Ridge students Elizabeth Avery (10), Allison Benjamin (90), Sydney Bramel (9), Lucinda Brown (9), Maria Grismer (10), Anya Lu (10), Derek Montermini (10), Victoria Pommalath (9) and Alexa Sandberg (9).

These students were selected by blind, recorded auditions from hundreds of their peers around the state. They will join the other selected students in downtown Minneapolis on February 22, 2018 to participate in a day of rehearsals with collegiate guest conductors Dr. Jennaya Robison from Luther College and Dr. Jonathan Talberg from California State Long Beach. The experience will culminate in a public performance that evening at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
