Gifted students in District 833 are those learners who by virtue of outstanding abilities are capable of high performance when compared to others of similar age, experience, or environment, and represent the diverse populations of our communities. Students capable of high performance include those with demonstrated achievement or potential ability. The potential of these learners may be developed more fully through differentiated educational programs and/or services beyond those normally provided in the core curriculum.  It is important to note that not all gifted children look or act alike. Giftedness exists in every personality type, demographic group and segment of society.
