Wayne Felton II
I am pleased to share with you that we have selected a new Director of Achievement and Integration. Please join me in welcoming Wayne Felton II to the role following Cori Thompson’s departure to lead as an elementary principal with another district.

Mr. Felton brings a wealth of experience in helping students and staff succeed. Most recently, he served as an associate administrator for Heritage Middle School in West St. Paul. Previously, Mr. Felton worked as a coordinator of education equity at Independent School District 622 in North St. Paul and an equity coach and behavior specialist at Independent School District 623 in Roseville where he oversaw all achievement and integration programming, served as a member of the teaching and learning team to help create curriculum, surveys and programs, and developed equity professional development for both licensed and non-licensed staff.

Our focus on racial equity and the need to provide concrete professional development that yields results is something that Mr. Felton is uniquely qualified for. Additionally, he has developed systems to address the challenges and opportunities to promote equity within a school district and most importantly, within schools. Mr. Felton has the ability to create and grow relationships with students, staff and district leaders.

Mr. Felton also has excellent academic qualifications with a Bachelor of Science degree from Bethel University and is pursuing a Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
Mr. Felton’s familiarity with achievement and integration will allow for a smooth transition into the director role. Please give him a warm welcome on his first day, Aug. 24.
