The resolution also gave the superintendent the authority to begin following the Minnesota Department of Education’s (MDE) Safe Learning Plan beginning on Sept. 11. The state’s previously announced plan uses a formula for COVID-19 infection rates over 14 days to determine a school district’s learning model. More information and details regarding the hybrid model is coming soon.

The school board also voted to overturn their previous decision during a special board meeting on Aug. 3 that directed the superintendent to be more restrictive than the MDE Safe Learning Plan.
