
The 2020 Open Enrollment period

This Open Enrollment period is for benefits effective January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020.
This is an opportunity for benefit eligible employees to enroll in coverage, add or remove an eligible dependent (spouse or child up to age 26) , or make changes to your insurance coverage without experiencing an IRS qualifying life event.
Health, Dental and Vision - All changes and new enrollments must be received in the Human Resources/Benefits Department by 4:00 pm on Friday, November 15, 2019.
Flexible Spending Accounts (Health and/or Daycare) - If you wish to participate in a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) in 2020, you will want to complete the enrollment process that will be emailed to the district email of eligible employees by 121 Benefits.

PreferredOne Preventative Dental Benefit
A preventative dental benefit is included with all PreferredOne (P1) health plans. Preventative dental care includes annual routine oral evaluation, teeth cleaning, bitewing and periapical x-rays (once every 12 months) and full mouth/panoramic x-rays (once every 3 years)

VEBA is a tax-free Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) that provides a source of funds to pay for the cost of health care expenses for you, your spouse and qualified dependents. VEBA is available to employees who enroll in the Open Access High Deductible Plan only.
The VEBA account may be used to pay any qualified pre- retirement and post-retirement medical, dental, or vision out-of-pocket expenses (deductibles, co-payments, co-insurance, etc.), plus post-retirement medical, dental, or vision insurance premiums, long term care premiums, Medicare Part B premiums, Medicare deductibles and Medicare Supplement Plan premiums.
In a full calendar year, the district contribution will be distributed as follows: 50% of the annual amount on the January 15 payroll, 25% of the annual amount on the July 15 payroll, and 25% of the annual amount on the October 15 payroll.

The current Health Care FSA annual maximum is $2,750/calendar year for 2020
Dependent Care FSA
The Dependent Day Care FSA annual contribution is $5,000 per family per calendar year for 2020
ACTION REQUIRED:
You must enroll in Health Care FSA and/or Dependent Day Care FSA each year you want to participate. You enrollment for 2019 will not automatically continue into 2020
Eligible employees will receive an email from 121 benefits with your log in information.
There is no open enrollment opportunity for the following plans; you may only enroll through an Evidence of Insurability (EOI) process, which may require medical underwriting directly from The Standard. If you are interested in completing this process, please contact your benefit specialist for the necessary paperwork.
