510.3 Athletic and Activity Fee Schedule

I. PURPOSE

The School Board establishes student fees for Athletics and Activities. Student fees and fines shall be reviewed and adjusted if necessary. Fees and fines will be handled at the discretion of the administrator in charge.

 

II. GENERAL STATEMENT OF POLICY

Students will be responsible for the payment of all fees, fines and any other charges necessary  for their participation in a class or activity.

Fees: Fees assessed to students to enroll in a program shall be paid at the time of registration.  No student will be enrolled in a program without a paid receipt. Families qualifying for the  Free and Reduced Lunch Program may be eligible for assistance based on a sliding scale. Extenuating circumstances that affect a family’s ability to pay fees should be brought to the  attention of the appropriate Activities/Athletic Director. A yearly maximum of $535.00 per family is in effect for all MSHSL activities and other school activities as noted on page 2 and 3 of this policy.

Charges: Charges assessed for materials in a class or program must be paid before the student  is allowed to proceed with the project.

Rental: Rental fees must be paid before the student is allowed to use school equipment or instruments.

Fines: Participation fees and fines assessed to student for lost, damaged or stolen school  property will be handled at the discretion of the administrator in charge.
