April 11, 2024 Special Business Meeting

1.0 Call to Order; Roll Call: Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a meeting of the School Board of Independent School District 833, South Washington County, was held on Thursday, April 11, 2024. The meeting was called to order by Vice Chair Simi Patnaik, at 6:37pm at the District Service Center, 7362 East Point Douglas Road South, Cottage Grove, MN 55016. School Board Members present: Ryan Clarke, Melinda Dols, Pat Driscoll, Simi Patnaik and Eric Tessmer. Katie Schwartz and Sharon Van Leer were absent. Superintendent Julie Nielsen was present.

2.0 Approval of Agenda: It was moved by Melinda Dols, seconded by Ryan Clarke to approve the agenda. All in favor, none opposed, motion carried.

 

3.0 Action Items:

3.1 Termination of Probationary Teaching Contracts

Abby Baker, Director of Human Resources

It was moved by Eric Tessmer, seconded by Melinda Dols to approve the terminations. There was a roll call vote taken. Sharon Van Leer and Katie Schwartz were absent. Ryan Clarke, Melinda Dols, Pat Driscoll, Simi Patnaik & Eric Tessmer voted in favor. Motion carried.

4.0 Adjournment: The meeting adjourned at 6:39pm.
