Wishing You a Wonderful Summer Break
Dear South Washington County Schools Families,
We did it! This year marked one of the most challenging school years that many of us have ever faced. I want to thank you for your patience, understanding and support of our school and program staff. Though we serve seven different cities and towns, I am amazed and proud of how we have all come together.
I hope that in the middle of the chaos, you were able to find things that made you smile and brought you joy. As we end the third school year affected by the pandemic, I want you to be proud of your child and what they’ve been able to accomplish. With everything they’ve been through, be sure to take time to celebrate the small moments.
Over the summer, SoWashCo Schools will be planning for an Aug. 9 bond election to address overcrowded schools, community growth and student needs. The bond election is a direct reflection of our 10-year facility package recently approved by the school board. A bond is the only method to raise enough funds for construction, renovations and additions to meet the needs of our growing community. We are thankful to be in a position where our school district is growing as others are shrinking in student enrollment. You can learn more about the plan and what will occur at your child’s school or program at sowashco.org/facilityplanning. Please take the opportunity to vote early starting on June 24. We have gathered early voting information so you can choose a day and time that works for you.
As we close out the school year, I’d like to thank you for your support and dedication to your child and South Washington County Schools. Have a great summer.
