Wishing You a Joyous Winter Break

Wishing You a Joyous Winter Break

Dear SoWashCo Schools Families,

As we approach the winter break, I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for your continued support of our school community. This has been a wonderful school year of learning, growth and collaboration, and none of it would be possible without the strong partnership we share with you.

Winter break is a time to pause, reflect and recharge. It's also a perfect opportunity for families to spend quality time together, creating lasting memories. Whether you're cozying up at home, enjoying outdoor activities or simply being present with loved ones, I hope you find moments of joy and connection.

Additionally, I encourage you to continue nurturing your child's love of reading during the break. Whether it’s reading stories of the different holidays celebrated this time of year, exploring new books or simply enjoying a shared story time, reading is a wonderful way to bond as a family, while helping your child grow as a learner. Every page turned is a step forward in their educational journey.

Thank you for your ongoing support and all the ways you contribute to the success of our students. I wish you a peaceful and restful winter break filled with family and friends, laughter and good books.

We look forward to welcoming students back on Monday, January 6, refreshed and ready to continue learning and growing together.

Warmest wishes,

Julie Nielsen
Superintendent
