Valley Crossing Students Win STEM Design Challenge
Two groups of students from Valley Crossing Elementary School received top honors at the Minnesota Zoo’s ZOOMS STEM Design Challenge. They showcased their solutions to a real problem faced by the zookeepers and staff at the Minnesota Zoo.
Ellen Kim, Sanvi Satapathy, Delina Yonas and Hazel Ashley won the 2nd Place Enrichment Design Award for developing a unique and outstanding kelp design challenge solution. Ashraya Rajeswaran, Anannya Gadde, Charlotte Cleveland and Eva Sharma won the ZooKeeper Award in exhibit design and engineering of the Discovery Coast exhibit.
