Summer Construction: Temporary Closures and Planned Construction

SoWashCo Schools has some construction projects happening at our schools and program centers during the summer months. These projects are part of our ongoing commitment to providing the best possible learning environment for our students. Most of the work will be completed during the summer break to ensure minimal disruption when school resumes this fall. 

Anticipated Closures

• Central Park (Closed March 2024 through June 2025)

  • This is a city of Woodbury construction project

• District Program Center (Entirely Closed from June 10 through the end of August)

  • Community Education will be held at Armstrong Elementary

  • Senior Activities will begin at Armstrong on June 17

  • Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) programming will be operating out of Liberty Ridge Site 2 in Woodbury.

  • Special Services will be operating out of Liberty Ridge Site 2 in Woodbury. 

• Park High School Stadium

• Woodbury High School (Most of building will be closed with rolling blackouts throughout the summer)

  • Gymnastics will remain open

  • Fieldhouse will remain open

  • Competition Gym will remain open

  • Weight Room will remain open

  • Pool will remain open

  • All Outdoor Spaces will remain operational

• PA systems replacements – These will take a couple of weeks to complete at each site listed below. The availability of some spaces in the buildings may be adjusted, but programming will continue.
