SoWashCo CARES Winter Clothing Drive in Need of Donations

Please help our students in need stay warm this winter! More requests for winter clothing are coming in every day. We are in need of coats, snow pants, boots and waterproof gloves. If you are able to help, please sign up to be matched up with a student's specific needs. You can also donate financially. It's our community helping our community!

Celebrate Hmong New Year on Dec. 16

Our annual Hmong New Year Celebration returns in person for the first time since the pandemic on Friday, Dec. 16 at East Ridge High School.

The Hmong New Year Celebration is hosted by the SoWashCo Hmong Parents Advisory Council (HPAC), in partnership with East Ridge Asian American Student Union, Park Asian American Club and Woodbury Asian Club. The free celebration of Hmong New Year is from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16 at East Ridge High School and will feature traditional Hmong crafts, a fashion show, live performances and more. Dinner will also be provided.

 

Free Children’s Concert and Carnival on Dec. 4 at Woodbury High School

  • Join the Woodbury High School Orchestra for a free children’s concert and carnival from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4 at Woodbury High School! This event is perfect for kindergarten through fifth-grade children, but all ages are welcome. 
  • Enjoy a short concert in the auditorium featuring music from Brave, Encanto, Frozen, and more! 
  • Audience members are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite character. 
  • A carnival with games and prizes will follow the concert.
  • Admission is free, but donations are welcome.
