Negotiation Update 2025-26 - UTSWC Session 1

South Washington County Schools (SoWashCo Schools) and the United Teachers of South Washington County (UTSWC) met for their first public negotiation session on May 27, 2025.  The current collective bargaining agreement expires on June 30, 2025.

Each group introduced bargaining team members and reviewed the Guiding Values for Negotiations and Shared Agreements for Negotiations at SoWashCo documents.

UTSWC presented six proposals and confirmed that additional proposals would be forthcoming. The District informed UTSWC that District proposals would be brought to the next meeting and encouraged UTSWC to bring any remaining language proposals to the next meeting.

The next negotiation session between SoWashCo Schools and UTSWC is scheduled for Wednesday, June 11.
