MSHSL Votes to Include Boys Volleyball as a Sport

MSHSL Votes to Include Boys Volleyball as a Sport

The Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) on Tuesday, May 9, voted in favor of adding Boys Volleyball as a sanctioned sport beginning in the 2024-25 school year.

Throughout the state, there are already nearly 2,000 participants currently playing through the Minnesota Boys High School Volleyball Association. East Ridge High School has a club team and will offer it as a club again next school year.

This summer MSHSL will determine when the official Boys Volleyball season will take place.

South Washington County Schools will review information from MSHSL, student interest levels, staffing, facilities and costs at the district level. More information will be available toward the end of the fall of the 23-24 school year once the MSHSL has determined in which season boys' volleyball will occur.
