Introducing the New Student School Board Representatives

Beginning at the Oct. 2, 2025 South Washington County Schools (SoWashCo Schools) Board of Education meeting, 3 new Student School Board Representatives will be joining the School Board. Matilda Samuel from Woodbury High School, Téa Alvarenga from Park High School and Andrew Chasteen from East Ridge High School will attend School Board Workshop Meetings, acting as a liaison between the School Board and the high school student body.

This new initiative was enacted to allow students to directly provide insight and perspective on topics related to the overall student experience. The Student School Board Representatives were chosen for their strong leadership skills and a genuine understanding of the student body through their commitment to thoughtful participation.
