Gopher Football Players Visit Honorary Teammate at Bailey Elementary
Players from the University of Minnesota's football team came to Bailey Elementary School this week spreading joy to classrooms and visiting their Team IMPACT teammate, first-grader Mitchell Starken.
Mitchell was matched with the University of Minnesota football team through a partnership with Team IMPACT. Team IMPACT’s program matches children facing serious illness and disability with college athletic teams across the country.
Gopher football players read to students in several classrooms and played games with them in the gym.
