Free COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic for Children Age Five and Older on Saturday, Jan. 8

South Washington County Schools and the State of Minnesota are hosting a free vaccination clinic for all children age five and older from 12-3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 8 at Pullman Elementary School. COVID-19 booster shots will also be available for eligible children age 16 and older.

The clinic is administering the two-dose Pfizer vaccine, free to all eligible Minnesotans. The second dose will be administered from 12-3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29 at Pullman Elementary School.

There are no appointments necessary. Parents or guardians can complete the consent form on-site the day of the vaccination or print and complete it ahead of time. A parent or guardian must accompany their child through the vaccination process.

Vaccinations are not required, but they are strongly encouraged by public health officials. The federal government found that the Pfizer vaccine is safe for children and highly effective at preventing severe illness.

If you have questions about vaccines, please contact your child’s primary healthcare provider. You can also get more information from the Minnesota Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
