Elementary Schools to Shift to Increased Health and Safety Procedures Nov. 29

As COVID-19 case rates continue to increase, SoWashCo Elementary Schools will implement the health and safety adjustments listed in our criteria for COVID-19 decision-making. These adjustments will be in place starting Monday, Nov. 29 through at least winter break and include: 

• Eating meals in the classroom
• Having recess separate from other classes
• Structuring student arrival and dismissal
• Limiting additional movement throughout the school and group work
• Providing as much social distancing as possible
• Performing targeted cleaning

Our increased health and safety measures will help reduce the spread with the goal of keeping students in-person for school as much as possible. We also need your help. Please continue to follow public health guidance and keep students home who are sick.
