Construction Update - May 2025

Here are a few Spring 2025 highlights of the ongoing construction projects taking place across the district through two voter-approved bond questions, allowing SoWashCo Schools to begin construction projects at 15 schools over the course of 5 years.

 

Park High School 

• Installation of storm sewer structures and piping began
• Prepared a temporary fence to be installed between Park High School and Crestview Elementary
• Demolition of the lecture hall began
• Next Steps: Additional interior demolition, loading dock canopy to be removed, site grading and utility installation

     

Woodbury High School 

• Pool utilities disconnected
• Demolition of the new trainer room/temporary egress began
• Next Steps: Temporary fence arriving, temporary pool wall and demolition, the administration office will temporarily move 

 

East Ridge High School 

• Utility work began
• Removed trees, shrubs, stumps and rubbish from the construction site
• Old boilers were removed and new boilers were installed
• Next Steps: Interior demolition will begin

 

Oltman Middle School 

• Foundation walls were poured
• Next Steps: Temporary walls to be installed in the cafeteria and  locker bay in Area D, additional footings and foundations to be poured
• Please Note: The parent drop-off road will be shut down after school ends on June 5; the Activities entrance (Door 30) will be shut down for the summer

Woodbury Middle School  

• The new bus lane road began and is scheduled to be completed by mid-summer
• Pool deck demolition and infill began for the new multipurpose room
• The fiber line was moved 
• Wrestling room and garage demolition began
• Next Steps: Grading, roadwork, interior demolition, continued infill and concrete slab over will be installed over the pool

• Site fencing to be installed mid-July

Lake Middle School

• Site fencing to be installed mid-July
