Construction Update - June 2025
Here are a few Spring 2025 highlights of the ongoing construction projects taking place across the district through two voter-approved bond questions, allowing SoWashCo Schools to begin construction projects at 15 schools over the course of 5 years.
Park High School
- A temporary fence was installed between Park High School and Crestview Elementary for site improvements
- Demolition of the lecture hall was completed and is on track to open before school resumes
- Interior classroom demo and concrete preparations are in process
- Freezer demolition began
- Next Steps: Continuing interior demolition, utilities and MEP rough-ins
Woodbury High School
- A temporary fence was installed
- Storage spaces under the stairs were completed
- Temporary walls were set up
- Pool demolition began
- The administrative office moved to the choir room
- Next Steps: New trainer room demolition started to be completed
East Ridge High School
- Interior demo began is on track
- Parking lot work South of the Job trailer began
- New temporary entrance installation began
- Track surface protection completed
- Next Steps: The new pod's carpet and furniture is to be installed in August
Oltman Middle School
- Foundation walls were poured for the storm shelter
- The temporary wall in the cafeteria was completed
- The kitchen's temporary wall began
- The parent drop off road is now shut down
- Activities entrance (Door 30) is shut down for the summer
- Curtain wall demo at the cafeteria started last week
- Next Steps: The temporary wall in the locker bay is to begin
Woodbury Middle School
- The new bus lane road is in process and is scheduled to be completed by mid-summer
- Bleacher demolition in the pool began
- Wrestling room and garage demolition continues
- The new fiber line is scheduled to be spliced in on June 17 at 6 p.m.
- Next Steps: Grading, road work and more interior work
Cottage Grove Middle School
- Site fencing to be installed mid-July
Lake Middle School
- Site fencing to be installed mid-July
