Construction Update - December 2025

Here are a few Fall 2025 highlights of the ongoing construction projects taking place across the district through two voter-approved bond questions, allowing SoWashCo Schools to begin construction projects at 15 schools over the course of 5 years.

 

Park High School 

• Phase 2 is closing out this week
  • Area G and H furniture being installed this week
  • Punch items ongoing
• Slab pour in addition is on track and has started
  • Kitchen slab has been poured
  • Prep work for storm shelter has begun
• Roofing is in process.
  • They are currently wrapping up storm shelter portion of the roof
• Fire proofing has begun in Area E
• Framing in Area N has begun

Woodbury High School 

• Area A
  • Temp enclosures have been installed
  • Roof demo complete
  • Curtain wall to be installed mid January
• Area B
  • Learning stairs foundation poured
  • Roof blocking scheduled for 12/11
  • Roofing tentatively scheduled for next week (weather permitting)
• Power shut down is scheduled for 12/29 and 12/30
• Area C
  • Masons are continuing in this area

East Ridge High School 

• Area T
  • This area is underway again
  • Backfilling this week
  • Precast panels to arrive on 12/15
• Area Q
  • Precast team onsite this week for final touches in this area
  • Finalizing roof in this area this week
• Area R
  • Plank installed
  • Detail welding this week
  • Joists installed this week as well
• Area S
  • Steel delivered today
  • Plank to be set on 12/15

Oltman Middle School 

• Area C
  • Angle iron arrived last week
  • MEPS roughing in this week
  • Widows at storm shelter started today and finish 12/12
  • Roofing to start on 12/15
• Area D
  • Brick veneer in process
  • Footings and foundation walls started today
    • Backfill to follow
  • The rest of the steel to start mid week this week
  • Enclosing this area this week
• Area A and B
  • Columns and beams to be installed this week
  • Veneer in process
  • Interior lintels to be installed late this week
  • Temp enclosure in in process in this area
  • Slab prep work in complete
    • Slab pour on track

 

Woodbury Middle School  

• Multipurpose space (Area C)
  • Floor leveling installed
  • Wall prep completed last week
  • Painting completing this week
  • Flooring install scheduled for 12/15
• AHU #5 and #9 scheduled for start up on 12/12
• Orchestra
  • Furniture to arrive 12/15
  • Final Clean schedule for 12/15
• Punch walk for Area B and C scheduled for 12/18

Cottage Grove Middle School

• Roofing completed last week
• Air barrier completed last week
• Exterior insulation in process
• Interior slab on grade pour today and tomorrow
• Brick work starting this week
• Interior walls starting later this week

 

Lake Middle School

• Exterior Sheathing completed last week
• Blocking installed last week
• Air barrier started today
• Terrazzo demo started last week in old vestibule
• Roofing will complete this week
• Exterior insulation is scheduled for late this week and early next
• Slab on grade is scheduled for 12/15
• Interior walls scheduled for late next week
