2026 Athena Awards

The Athena Awards program honors the exceptional athletic achievements of 55 female high school seniors from the metro area. The award is based on excellence in individual sports or for participation and accomplishments in team sports. 

East Ridge High School - Aliyah Kleven

Aliyah is a standout student-athlete who is a captain for both volleyball and golf. She holds many titles, including: All Conference Honorable Mention, State Tournament Qualifier and All State Academics. She holds 3 academic letters and is a volunteer youth volleyball and golf coach. Aliyah plans on attending St. Olaf College to participate in Women’s Golf and major in Chemistry/Biology.

Park High School - Ashley Davis

Ashley is an accomplished gymnast, with many awards including: Most Valuable Gymnast, Sticky Feet Award, State Meet Participant and Rookie of the Year. Ashley is also the recipient of 4 academic letters and plans to attend a 4-year university to study exercise science. 

Woodbury High School - Briella Huebsch

Briella is a leading student-athlete, participating in soccer, hockey and track and field. She has achieved many accolades, including: breakthrough player of the year, conference champion, sprints MVP and all conference honorable mentions. She is an active member of the community, volunteering through the National Honor Society and the Spanish Immersion Program and many other leadership roles. Briella has earned the Platinum Spanish Seal of Biliteracy and hosts an impressive 4.1 GPA. She plans on attending the University of North Dakota to study kinesiology and Spanish.
