Congratulations to our Triple “A” Award winners at East Ridge, Park and Woodbury high schools. The Triple “A” Award is a Minnesota State High School League Award that recognizes seniors excelling in academics, arts and athletics. Teachers, coaches, directors and advisors nominate students.

East Ridge High School

Senior Cael Viesselman

Cael Viesselman is an outstanding student athlete that has enrolled in 11 AP courses earning high honors with distinction along with a 4.328 GPA. Throughout his high school academic career, he has attained a 35 on the ACT, received an academic letter every year and earned a Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish. A large part of Cael’s fine arts experience has been participating in our Orchestra playing the Viola.  He is undecided on what college to attend but looks forward to majoring in Business and participating in sanctioned intramural sports and the music department.

 

 

 

Senior Anne Benjamin

Anne Benjamin is a gifted student that has challenged herself academically by taking several AP courses and has a current GPA of 4.213. Her passion for learning as led her to explore various academic programs such as Honors classes and PLTW Biomedical Science courses. She also enjoys tutoring students in science, math, history and English. Anne is a featured soloist in our ERHS top choir. She also serves on the Choir Board as the current Co-President. Anne has participated in both Tennis and Golf State Tournaments placing 6th in both and has earned all-conference honors in both sports. Her college choice is undecided at this time but looks to major in Nursing and participate in club sports and the large group choir.

 

 

Park High School

Senior Jordyn Dahling

 

Jordyn Dahling is a letter winner in both soccer and lacrosse and served as a captain in soccer. She is a section leader in the Concert Choir and sings in the Bella Voce ensemble. Dahling is a member of the math team and has a GPA of 4.3. She plans to study computer science at the University of Minnesota-Duluth next year. 

 

 

 

Senior Gavin Stauffer

 

Gavin Stauffer earned All-Conference honors in both cross country and track and was a captain and two-time state meet participant in cross country. He earned All-Conference and All-State honors in band while also receiving best-of-site and superior ratings at Region contests. Stauffer also served as the Drum Major of the marching band. He earned Academic All-State honors and has a 4.0 GPA. Gavin will attend St. Olaf College and will study music education and run cross country and track. 

 

 

Woodbury High School

Senior Elizabeth Powell

Elizabeth Powell has excelled in academics, arts and athletics during her years at Woodbury High School.  She maintains a 4.03 weighted GPA and has taken several PSEO courses. Elizabeth has served as concertmaster in the past 3 of 4 years with the WHS Orchestra. She is in the WHS Concert Orchestra and WHS Chamber Orchestra. Elizabeth is a 4 year varsity letter winner and 2 year captain on the WHS Dance Team. Elizabeth has received SEC All Conference Honorable Mention in Dance for the past three years. Elizabeth is a leader for the WHS American Sign Language (ASL)Club and is very involved in the ASL program. She plans to continue her ASL education to receive an ASL Certificate. Elizabeth will attend Minnesota State University - Mankato majoring in Special Education.

 

 

Senior Eli Faulkner

Eli Faulkner has excelled in academics, arts and athletics during his years at Woodbury High School. He maintains a 4.15 weighted GPA and has taken 8 AP courses while at WHS. He is striving for the Platinum Seal of Biliteracy and has already tested to the gold level. Eli has been involved in orchestra since fourth grade playing the viola. He is a member of the WHS Concert Orchestra and was selected as First Chair to help and lead his peers. Eli serves as a captain for both the Boys Tennis and Boys Swim and Dive Teams.  During his 2023-2024 Boys Swim and Dive season, he was a member of the SEC Conference Championship Team that went 11-0, won True Team Sections and 4AA Sections. In tennis, Eli has been a member of the varsity team since 8th grade and a captain 10-12th grade. Eli plans to study mechanical engineering at Purdue University or the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
