South Washington County Schools

Nutrition Services

Students across the district are giving their first impressions to new recipes developed by Nutrition Services.

Students across the district enjoyed local Snow Sweet Apples last month, delivered fresh from Whistling Well Farm in Afton.

We are very excited to feature Candy Corn Veggie Mix on October 7th for the elementary schools.

This month, students will enjoy several new homemade foods on the menus. The Nutrition Services baking staff are busy preparing blueberry and apple streusel muffin squares.

Good nutrition is vital for long-term health. It supports growth, better learning, and the prevention of chronic diseases. In a nation where childhood obesity has become a national epidemic, we are driven to make food choices that provide all of our children with the tools to achieve optimal health and learning.
