Flexible Spending

The flexible spending benefit allows you to use pre-tax dollars to pay for medical care and/or dependent care expenses. You must be employed 30 hours or more per week to be eligible for this benefit. The flexible spending year runs January through December and open enrollment for flexible spending generally begins in late November. You can make changes to your flexible spending elections, outside of open enrollment, if you experience a status change or experience a qualifying life event.
