South Washington County Schools

School Breakfast Week is March 2-6

Life gets rushed, sometimes making it hard to eat a good breakfast before running out the door. Having breakfast benefits students in many ways, including increasing attention, memory, improving attendance, behavior and test scores.

District 833’s cafeterias serve breakfast daily. For $1 at elementary schools and $1.40 at secondary schools, students can enjoy a featured breakfast. Breakfast is often a hot item such as waffles, bagel sandwiches, or oatmeal, OR cereal selection with yogurt or cheese, milk and fruit or fruit juice. Parents are welcome to join their students, and can have the same choices for $1.80. All students who are eligible for free or reduced price meals may also enjoy a free breakfast daily.
