South Washington County Schools is pleased to share that its 2017 graduation rate has increased for the 3rd consecutive year.

Over 20 students from the Woodbury High School Science Olympiad Team recently attended the Regional Minnesota Science Olympiad Tournament.

WHS Honor Band students

Congratulations to six Woodbury High School music students who were recently chosen to participate in the Minnesota Band Directors Association (MBDA) Honor Band.

The superintendent of schools is the chief administrative officer of the district, appointed by and directly responsible to the School Board. The superintendent serves as an ex-officio (non-voting) member of the School Board, facilitates the work of the Board and is responsible to the Board for providing direction and leadership to the school district.

Keith Jacobus is the superintendent of South Washington County Schools. His work is supported by Assistant Superintendents for Academic Excellence Michael Johnson and Julie Nielsen, along with the other members of his Cabinet.

Engineering Club at Cottage Grove Middle School

The Cottage Grove Middle School’s Engineering Club continues to engage students with multiple hands-on STEM related projects.

Congratulations to fifth graders Annika Kim and Aidan Lugo on qualifying for the Regional Spelling Bee.

District 833 is pleased to announce that seven students have been named as candidates for the United States Presidential Scholars Program.

Three teaching teams from South Washington County Schools have published science curriculum units designed to get students thinking like an engineer over a five-year partnership with the University
