World’s Best Workforce

South Washington County Schools will share its 2017-18 World’s Best Workforce Summary Report on Thursday, Nov. 29. The summary will include progress toward improving teaching and learning and striving to meet the World’s Best Workforce goals, specifically progress toward: closing the achievement gap; all students ready for kindergarten; all students in third grade achieving grade-level literacy; all students attaining career and college readiness before graduating from high school; and all students graduating from high school.

Students began the 2018-19 school year with new learning spaces at Cottage Grove, Lake and Woodbury middle schools.

On Tuesday, September 4 students were welcomed to the new Oltman Middle School for their first day of classes. More than 900 students in grades 6, 7 and 8 will learn in the new school.

Oltman Middle School Grand Opening Celebration

South Washington County Schools is pleased to invite you to the Grand Opening Celebration for the new Oltman Middle School. Join us as we thank the community and celebrate the completion of our new school at a public event on Sunday, Sept. 23 from 2-4 p.m. There will be a short presentation at 2 p.m. followed by tours of the building.

 

The Minnesota Department of Education has recognized 14 schools from the South Washington County School District for their progress in school performance.

Each year, the district updates student handbooks, include the Rights and Responsibilities Student Handbook and the Elementary Handbook.
