South Washington County Schools

District 833 monitoring weather conditions for Monday, March 5

South Washington County Schools is monitoring reports of a winter storm expected to impact our area tomorrow, Monday, March 5. We are working with the National Weather Service and local officials to determine if weather and road conditions will be safe for our families.

At this point, we are waiting for clarification as to how our area will be impacted by the storm as it is expected to be more severe north of Interstate 94. The National Weather Service has advised that we will have more accurate information in the morning.

Should there be a need to close our schools, families will be notified by phone, e-mail and text tomorrow morning. If you do not receive a message from the school district by 5:30 a.m., please plan to send your child to school at their usual time.

Information about the decision-making process can be found on the district website at:  http://www.sowashco.org/parents/school-closing-information
