The University of Minnesota Raptor Center brought three raptors to Middleton Elementary School on Sept. 20 to help students learn more about the birds, their rehabilitation and the Raptor Center.

District 833 marching bands will hold their annual showcase on Saturday, Oct. 14 at 1 p.m. at Park High School Stadium.

Five students from South Washington County Schools were honored at Northwestern University’s Center for Talent Development at its annual award ceremony on Sept. 9.

The Park High School football team set a new packing record after they volunteered to fill boxes of food at Feed My Starving Children.

A School Board Candidate Forum, sponsored by the local chapter of the League of Women Voters, will be held at the District Service Center (7362 E. Pt. Douglas Rd.

The Minnesota Orchestra began its 2017-18 Symphonic Adventures for High Schools program on Friday, Sept. 15 with a performance for South Washington County Schools students.

The School Board is scheduled to meet on Thursday, September 21 at 6:30 p.m.

On Thursday, Sept. 14, Minnesota Senator Susan Kent presented the East Ridge Robotics Team with a resolution from the senate recognizing them for taking first place at the state championship last spring.

Each year, the district updates the Rights and Responsibilities Student Handbook that is aligned to School Board Policy.

Officials of National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced the names this week of approximately 16,000 Semifinalists in the 63rd annual National Merit Scholarship Program.
