Nine science teachers had the opportunity this summer to participate in the Engineering to Transform the Education of Analysis, Measurement, and Science in a Team-Based Targeted Mathematics-Science Partnership.

Thirty families and 41 team members participated on the 833 Miracle Makers team this summer and raised over $35,000 to support kids who are battling cancer and their families.

CenturyLink’s Teachers & Technology Grant Awards recognize teachers who find innovative ways to integrate technology into their curriculum and teaching practices to improve student achievement.

On Aug. 15, Park’s administration learned that a meeting of a newly forming conference for the east metro occurred without Park High School at the table.

District 833 Superintendent Keith Jacobus has been appointed to serve on the Association of Metropolitan School District’s (AMSD) Legislative Committee.

The School Board is scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22, with the following items on the agenda:

District 833 continues to be recognized for its excellent financial management.

Families who have not registered their students for the 2013-14 school year are asked to visit the Student Information Office at the District Service Center at 7362 E. Point Douglas Rd. S. in Cottage Grove.

Schools throughout the district are preparing to welcome students in grades 1-12 for the first day of school on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
