There will be no school for District 833 students on Thursday, Oct. 17, and Friday, Oct. 18.

The MinnCAN “Road to Success” tour made a stop in District 833 this week as it recognizes Minnesota’s top schools and connects with community leaders throughout the state.

At their Sept. 26, regular meeting, the South Washington County School Board approved the proposed property tax levy for 2014.

During previous legislative sessions, as a method of balancing the State budget, the Legislature shifted payments to Minnesota school districts.

District 833 parents are invited to attend a series of monthly presentations in topics related to gifted learners called Gifted Education Parent HUB Nights.

As MDE released the 2013 MMR, Minnesota’s Education Commissioner pointed to the data as evidence the state is beginning to bend the curve in closing its achievement disparities.

District 833’s alternative high school has changed its name from South Washington Alternative Learning Center to South Washington Alternative High School.

Keith Jacobus, Superintendent, returns the Parent University this fall with conversations regarding the Nov. 5 Election.

These students will be members of a 120 voice women’s choir composed of students from across Minnesota.

East Ridge High School senior Johanna Back has earned a perfect score of 2400 on the SAT, which is a rare accomplishment.
