During a recent persuasive writing unit, Laura Larsen, second and third grade teacher at Valley Crossing, had her students write individual essays and a classroom speech.

South Washington County Schools Community Education, in collaboration with SoWashCo CARES, assembled more than 300 food packs on Tuesday, June 6 at the District Program Center in Cottage Grove.

The ERHS Speech Team took seven competitors to Kansas City, MO for the National Individual Events Tournament of Champions (NIETOC).

Thirty-eight students earn Summa Cum Laude with Distinction honors by earning a cumulative GPA of 4.3 or higher.

Woodbury High School’s Music Department Leader and Choir Director, Daryl Timmer was recently named a quarterfinalist in the 2018 National Music Educator Award presented by the Recording Academy and the GRAMMY Museum.

Our staff and students are saddened by news of the death of School Board member and community resident, Joe Slavin. This is a very sad time for the district and those who knew Mr.

Sadly, the district is confirming the unexpected death of School Board member Joe Slavin. We received confirmation of this through the Woodbury Police Department this afternoon.

This spring, 41 district students participated in Minnesota Band Directors Association Honor Band Festivals.

On Friday, May 26 students at Middleton Elementary participated in a walk-a-thon to raise money for a new and improved guided reading library.
