During the week of June 19, nine East Ridge students visited Birmingham, AL for the National Speech and Debate Association tournament, the largest academic competition in the world.

The School Board met at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 22.

Coming from Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia, Marvin Wooten will join Woodbury High School’s administrative team in time to prepare for the 2017-18 school year.

District 833 is pleased to announce that Kevin Witherspoon, Ed.D., has been appointed as the next Director of Human Resources and plans to transition to the position July 1, pending School Board approval.

The School Board is scheduled to meet on Thursday, June 22 at 6:30 p.m.

This spring, juniors in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at Park High School focused their service project on education in Sierra Leone, a small country in West Africa.

Recently, three Park High School juniors were selected to participate in the GopherBusiness program at the University of Minnesota this July.

Nine students from East Ridge High School were named 2017 Scholars of Distinction by the Minnesota Department of Education.

The District 833 School Board has approved a random-sample survey of its constituents through the Morris-Leatherman Company, a firm that provides market research and interpretation.

On Tuesday, June 6, U of M softball player Sam Macken visited Kay Youngstrom’s fourth grade classroom at Cottage Grove Elementary.
