Senator Susan Kent recognizes East Ridge High School’s Robotics Team

On Thursday, Sept. 14, Minnesota Senator Susan Kent presented the East Ridge Robotics Team with a resolution from the senate recognizing them for taking first place at the state championship last spring.

Kent told students how impressed she is with their hard-work and dedication. She continued to say that they should be proud of their accomplishment, as it is no easy feat competing against the best teams from across the state.

“We are so fortunate to have Senator Kent come visit our school today,” said Joel Olsen, Activities Director at East Ridge High School. “Her excitement for the kids and their accomplishments was evident in her speech and the resolution she shared with us.”

The East Ridge ERRORS share the championship with the Duluth East Daredevils and Team FRED (Fighting Rednecks Engineering and Design) from Warroad. Each team played seven qualification matches last May. In the final match, the ERRORS ended up winning 441-293.
