South Washington County Schools has three referendum questions and five school board seats on the fall ballot.

  • Question 1 is the renewal of a $15.3 million operating levy that has been a part of our district’s budget for 20 years and would not increase taxes.

  • Question 2 is a new operating levy that would provide the district $7.5 million per year.

The approval of both Q1 and Q2 would prevent dramatic budget reductions that could impact programs and services offered to our students.

  • Question 3 is a capital project levy that would provide the district $2 million per year dedicated to technology expenses, including educational software and sustaining existing devices.

More information can be found on the Election 2017 webpage; including a tax calculator to determine the impact of each question on your annual taxes, a list of Frequently Asked Questions, information regarding the School Board Election, and voting information. Videos explaining the referendum questions and school district financing are also available.
