Red Rock Elementary teacher recognized as “Excellent Educator”

Danielle Beekman was selected as this week’s “Excellent Educator” by WCCO. Beekman is a fourth-grade teacher at Red Rock Elementary School. Nominated by an anonymous community member, Beekman was surprised with the award by reporter Kim Johnson in her classroom last week.

“Danielle is energetic and passionate about her students. It is clear to see the positive impact she makes in her students’ lives and we are proud that she is part of our school,” said Red Rock Principal Jennifer Holt.

This is Ms. Beekman’s second year teaching and her first year at Red Rock. Last year, she worked with South Washington County Schools at Newport Elementary. She is also a volleyball coach at Park High School.

“Excellent Educator” is a weekly segment that highlights teachers making a difference on WCCO. You can see the full story here.
