Red Rock Elementary celebrates being named a 2014-15 Minnesota School of Excellence

On Thursday, March 26, Red Rock Elementary celebrated being named a 2014-15 Minnesota School of Excellence at a special school assembly held in their gymnasium. Red Rock Elementary School is one of four schools in Minnesota to be named a School of Excellence this year by the Minnesota Elementary School Principals’ Association (MESPA), and earned the recognition for its commitment to 21st century teaching and learning.

As part of the assembly, Red Rock’s student council led a chant, Principal Andrew Caflisch and Superintendent Keith Jacobus addressed the student body, the winner of the fifth grade essay contest Tracy Pham read her final essay, and the entire school performed the school song. Sam Richardson, the MESPA School of Excellence chair, presented the school with the School of Excellence Award.

A special video was also played at the event, featuring students and staff working on a variety of school projects to commemorate being named a 2014-15 Minnesota School of Excellence. Watch the video below.
