A required special meeting to canvass the Nov. 5 Election results is set for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12, in the Board Room of the District Service Center in Cottage Grove.

The School Board met on Thursday, Nov. 7, with the following items on the agenda:

The Woodbury Chamber of Commerce is currently seeking nominations for the community's Educator of the Year.

The AFJROTC MN-871 WolfPack Cadets will honor military veterans on Nov. 11 at their seventh Annual Veterans Day ceremony at Park High School.

With all precincts reporting, voters have approved referendum Question 1 and Question 2 on the ballot for South Washington County Schools. Question 3 was not approved.

District 833 Superintendent Keith Jacobus shared his recollection of reading J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series with his daughter.

UPDATE: 3:25 p.m.

The annual state school bus inspection conducted by the MN State Patrol that concluded on Oct. 28 resulted in a perfect score of zero defects on every District 833 vehicle (eight vans and 133 buses) for the second consecutive year.
