The District 833 School Board has five seats open for election on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Four members will be elected to the School Board for terms of four years each.

South Washington County Schools will move forward with three ballot questions for its voters on Tuesday, Nov. 5, as determined by the School Board at their meeting on July 16.

District 833 is pleased to announce Rich Romano as the next Newport Elementary Principal. He is currently the principal at the district’s Crestview and Nuevas Fronteras Elementary Schools.

The School Board met on Tuesday, with the following actions occurring:

Thanks to a $10,000 3M Ingenuity grant, sixth grade students at Oltman Middle School will be tackling a real-world problem as part of a project-based learning program being developed at Oltman. Students

Aaron Krueger, Newport Elementary Principal for the past four years, has accepted a position as an elementary principal for the Osseo Public Schools.

The School Board is scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, with the following items on the agenda:

The School Board held a Special Meeting on July 8 to continue the discussion on a possible levy for the November 2013 election.

Park High School administration has learned of the formation of a new conference and is having preliminary conversations about the possibility of joining that conference and leaving the SEC.
